袁廉民摄影简介:  
  袁廉民,浙江慈溪市人(现属余姚市),1932年出生于家乡。大专学历。1950年开始学习电影摄影,师从著名电影摄影师王玉如先生。抗美援朝期间在前线与老师一起拍摄“粉碎敌人细菌战”等科学教育电影数集。从20世纪60年代起主要从事图片摄影,这一时期拍摄的《幸福的晚年》获《大众摄影》杂志社主办的全国摄影比赛一等奖;《贫农代表》入选1965年全国摄影展,并发表于《中国摄影》,被摄影界评价为这一时期反映人物精神面貌的优秀作品。
  从20世纪70年代起,致力于我国著名山岳风景黄山的拍摄,40年间登山不辍,多达160余次。先后在日本、美国以及上海、安徽、深圳等地举办了个人黄山摄影展览。出版了黄山摄影集与理论专著4部,发表黄山摄影作品1500余幅,其中彩色作品《蒸蒸日上》被中国文联、中国摄影家协会列入建国50年来优秀摄影作品,曾选作我国政府总理向世界各国首脑祝贺新年的贺年片;《黄山玉屏峰》选作1979年9月《人民画报》与《中国风光》大型画册封面,受到了海内外读者广泛的好评;黑白作品《松魂》列入世界华人摄影家的精品佳作。多年来,袁廉民为宣传安徽、宣传黄山,尤为黄山申报世界文化、自然遗产获得成功,作出了很大贡献,因而获得了由国务院颁发的有突出贡献专家称号并获得特殊津贴。2000年在袁廉民从艺50年之际,中国摄影家协会、中共安徽省委宣传部、安徽省文联、安徽省摄影家协会为其出版了《黄山》大型摄影集并举办影展与研讨会。《人民日报》、《中国艺术报》、《中国摄影报》、安徽电视台等媒体纷纷播发专题报道。
  2003年,应北京五洲传播出版社之邀,与老摄影家茹遂初一起共同主编出版中国世界文化、自然遗产摄影丛书《黄山》摄影集,以多种语言向海内外发行。
  2005年,为纪念中国摄影家协会成立50周年,《幸福的晚年》获《大众摄影》杂志社主办的全国摄影比赛一等奖。

Yuan Lianmin was born in 1932 in Cixi (part of today’s Yuyao), Zhejiang Province. He holds a Junior College Degree. He embarked on learning film photography in 1950, tutored by the famous film photographer Wang Yuru. During the Korean War, he shot along with his teacher several science documentaries such as Smashing Enemy’s Germ Warfare. Since 1960s, he has been photographing pictures, with works such as Happy Late Years, which won the First Prize at the national photographing contest organized by the Popular Photography magazine; and Representative of Impoverished Peasants, which was selected to be shown on the National Photographing Exhibition in 1965 and published on Chinese Photography, considered by the photographing circle an excellent work reflecting the spirits of the contemporary people.
Since 1970s, Yuan has been committed to photographing China’s famous landscape mountain—Huangshan Mountain, climbing the mountain more than 160 times over 40 years. Yuan has held his personal photograph exhibitions of Huangshan Mountain in Japan, America, Shanghai, Anhui and Shenzhen, among other places. He has published four Huangshan Mountain albums and monographs and over 1,500 photographs of Huangshan Mountain, among which Sunrise was recognized by the China Federation of Literary and Art Circles and China Association of Photographers as an excellent photographing work over the 50 years since the founding of the PRC, and selected to be used by the prime minister to send New Year greetings to foreign leaders. Yuping Peak of Huangshan Mountain was selected for the covers of People’s Pictorial and China Landscapes for the September 1979 issue, and received extensive compliments from readers domestically and overseas. The black and white photography Soul of Pine was listed among the top works of world Chinese photographers. Over the years, Yuan Lianmin has contributed greatly to the publicity of Anhui and Huangshan Mountain, especially to the success in its being recognized as a world cultural and natural heritage, thereby receiving the title of Expert with Prominent Contributions granted by the State Council and special allowance. In 2000, the 50th year of Yuan’s career, the China Association of Photographers, the Publicity Department of Anhui CPC Committee, the Anhui Federation of Literary and Art Circles and the Anhui Association of Photographers published the Huangshan Mountain album and held a film exhibition and seminar. People’s Daily, China Art, China Photography and Anhui TV Station provided special coverage.
In 2003, invited by the China International Press, Yuan compiled and published Huangshan Mountain Album: China and World Cultural and Natural Heritage along with the veteran photographer Ru Suichu, and distributed it in multiple languages both at home and abroad.
In 2005, the China Association of Photographers, in commemoration of the 50th anniversary of its founding, held a solemn ceremony in the Great Hall of the People in Beijing and commended 50 photographers who had made tremendous contributions to the photographing of PRC, on which Yuan was granted the title of “photographer with prominent contributions”.
On Sep., 2007, Yuan Lianmin was awarded the Lifetime Achievement Award on the 7th Golden Statue Award for China Photography.
